Personal Finance


With SmartyPig you create an account, set a savings goal, and start saving. You can invite others to join and help you save. There’s also a widget that you can add to your site to share your progress and allow others to help. Your savings earn interest and are FDIC insured.


Mint, who was recently acquired by Intuit, allows you to track your expenses and see where you’re spending your money, analyzes the interest rate you’ve been paying on your credit card to see if you should switch to a different card, manage your budget, and manage your investments. There’s also an iPhone app available.

Wesabe takes a different angle on personal financial management and creates a community around its users allowing you to connect and gain insight from others. Wesabe also provides an iPhone app.
